Waller (Beau) T. Dudley '74, '79L

Beau Dudley is W&L class of 1974 and 1979 law, when he was president of the student body executive committee. He was the president of the Alumni Association 1992-1993, and a University Trustee 1998-2006. He came to W&L in 2006 from a distinguished legal career as a business litigation partner with McGuire Woods, LLP in the Washington, D.C. area offices.
As Executive Director of Alumni Affairs, Mr. Dudley operates within University Advancement as the senior administrator for alumni association matters. He is responsible for the Alumni Affairs office on campus, the Alumni Board of Directors, and he serves on the President’s Council, a group of senior administrators.
Thomas D. Lovell '91

A member of the W&L Class of 1991, Tom Lovell was drawn to serving the University professionally through service as co-president of the San Diego and Northeast Ohio W&L alumni chapters. Prior returning to Lexington, he was vice president of sales and marketing at VRC Manufacturing Inc. in Berea, Ohio, and an analyst with SAIC in San Diego, Calif.
As Associate Director of Alumni Affairs, Tom manages Washington and Lee University’s 88 alumni chapters across the country and in the United Kingdom and works with the University’s Alumni Board of Directors and the Office of University Advancement to keep alumni connected with the University.
Jen Utterback

Jen is from New Hope, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008 and studied Communications with a focus on Public Relations. After graduation, Jen moved to New York City and worked in the Marketing Department at Sony Music. After two plus years in New York, Jen and her boyfriend moved to Lexington as he started Law School at W&L in the Fall of 2010.
Jen is the Assistant Director for Engagement. Her main responsibilities include planning the three on campus reunions; Five Star Festival, Young Alumni Weekend and Reunion in addition to the Freshman BBQ and Senior Night. Jen manages Kathekon, a student alumni group that supports Alumni Affairs on campus, connect with the history and workings of the University, and aspire to be alumni leaders. Lastly, Jen serves as the Class Notes Editor for W&L’s Undergrad and Law Alumni Magazines.
Ryan Catherwood

Ryan joined the Alumni Affairs team in May 2010 after having worked as the Marketing & Communications Director at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Va. Previously employment includes experience in a Richmond-based advertising agency where he was an Account Manager. He received a B.A. in Communications from the University of Richmond, and attended the University of Queensland in Australia for graduate business school.
At Washington and Lee, Ryan’s primary responsibilities are digital communications including administration of Colonnade Connections, support for electronic chapter communications, social media, and the alumni.wlu.edu Web site. Ryan returns to W&L twelve years after having attended the Summer Scholars program prior to his senior year of high school.
Jennifer Mero

Jennifer has lived in Lexington with her two children since 2002. She has a degree in Communications and Public Relations from Champlain College in Burlington, VT. She began working at Washington and Lee in 2004, working first in the office of the Dean of the College before joining the Alumni Affairs office in 2010.
Jennifer is our Administrative Assistant. She serves mainly as the administrative support to the Executive Director, but also assists other Alumni office staff.
Sue Woodruff

A native of Virginia, Sue joined Washington and Lee in 1990. Beginning her career in the Geology Department, she later joined the University Development Office in 1996 before moving to her current position as Chapter Programs Coordinator in Alumni Affairs in 2008. She earned her B.S. degree in Business Management from Bluefield College.
Sue’s responsibilities focus on managing and coordinating the University’s 88 alumni chapters. As a primary point of contact with Chapter leaders, she is involved in all aspects of University support for these chapters, including program development, event scheduling, and some travel to chapters.
Rosa Weeks

Rosa is a resident of Lexington, VA, and is the office printing and mailing assistant.
