The Palmetto Chapter is aptly named for the vegetation found in the lowlands region of sunny South Carolina. Columbia is the center and a great W&L city. Approximately 175 alumni members have sustained a consistently strong chapter. In 2011-2012, the chapter organized a Summer Send-off, a Founders' Day reception, a Service Day, and also gathered for a tailgate party prior to a local baseball game.
